Privacy policy

This explains what Kovva collects, why, and the choices you have. This is a draft summary for review, not final legal text.

What we collect

Details you give us (name, contact, what you do, university if you’re a student, sizes), order and payment records, posts, and photos you upload for virtual try-on.

How we use it

To run your account, take payments and deliver your orders, show you clothes that suit who you shop for, power KAI’s suggestions and try-ons, keep Kovva safe from fraud and abuse, and answer you when you contact us.

Who we share it with

Only the partners who help run Kovva, and only what they need: Paystack for payments (we never see your full card details), couriers for delivery (name, address and phone number), our AI provider for KAI, and our email and hosting providers. We don’t sell your data.

Photos and AI features

Your try-on photo and results are private to you. To make a try-on, your photo and the product photo are sent to our AI provider. You can remove your try-on photo at any time. Posts you share can be seen by other Kovva users.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and object to how we use it. You can edit your profile in the app and delete your account in Settings. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

How long we keep data

When you delete your account it is hidden from everyone and signed out straight away; you can sign in within 30 days to restore it. After that it is closed and your email is freed. We keep the closed account’s records, including order and payment records for at least 6 years where the law requires, for legal, tax and fraud-prevention reasons. They are never shown to other people.

Keeping your data safe

Passwords are stored scrambled (hashed), connections are encrypted, sign-ins can be ended from the server, and only people who need it can see your data.
